Elliot & Sonny

Yellow is now known as Elliot II and is seen here with his new big buddy Sonny. His new family says he's doing well and is already fitting right in with their family and routine.
The other four boys who are still at our home had their vet check up today and all received clean bills of health - no surprise as they are all doing very well.
We are looking forward to the next boy going to his new home this weekend. The next to go will be a show potential puppy headed to Pomeroy, WA. Then we'll just have to find homes for the remaining 3 boys. :)

Red 8 Weeks

Red is my personal favorite even though he's going to be heavily marked. Just like his color, he's a fire cracker (or devil boy). Red is for sale to a show home only.

Blue 8 Weeks

Blue is a handsome boy with a bold personality. We are hoping Blue will find himself a show home and will get to have his day in the conformation show ring.

Orange Week 8

Orange is a very sweet boy, who is very quite and tender. He's going to make someone a very special boy. He has a very nice front and rear end which may make him a nice show boy if someone is willing to work with him to bring him out of his shell. Orange is available to a pet or show home - which ever comes along first.

Green 8 Week Shots

Green is a very smart boy who is going to be a ton of fun for someone looking for a dog who likes to learn and problem solve. Green is looking for the right pet home to take him home.

Yellow heads for California!

'Yellow' was the chosen puppy this afternoon. A very nice couple from Crescent City, CA had the first choice of the pet puppies and after facing a tough decision, they decided to go with Yellow because he is the mellowest of the group as well as his very attractive two blue eyes.
Yellow won't be alone however, he will have a 'big brother', a 7 year old Dalmatian by the name of Sunny who also made the trip up from California today. Sonny was very happy and excited to meet his new little buddy.
Yellow will be living the good life, within 10 minutes of the beach as well as miles of hiking trails.
We'll miss you Yellow, but know your in good hands with your new parents. Take care!

Final night together

Here are all 5 boys waiting for their final dinner all together. Tomorrow morning we will make the long drive to Vancouver, WA to have help evaluating the litter. Our goal will be to determine the top two 'show picks' - the two puppies we feel have the best chances in the conformation show ring. Once the evaluation is finished the first puppy will be picked up to head off to it's new home.

Mom and Dad watching over

It looks like the perfect little family but in truth mom and dad are just waiting for me to leave so they can steal the carrots from their babies. Romeo is really starting to enjoy his babies, he wishes they would grow up quicker so they can run faster and play with him. Just about every night he lays on the couch and they come up and give each other kisses, the only problem is his lips look very chewable and the puppies have teeth and are not afraid to use them.

Orange 6 weeks

Orange is our quite boy, very sweet and loves to be cuddled, he's also our smallest boy at this point. He's missing some nose trim still, but we're hopeful that it will fill in before he turns 6 months.

Blue at 6 weeks

This is "Blue" who happens to have one blue eye and one very nice dark brown eye. Blue is our other bold personality puppy who is a lot of fun.

Green 6 Weeks

This is Green. It's hard to see in this photo but he has a small piece of blue inside his right eye (the lower piece of it). He has a very nice, even going temperament and should mature to be a nice boy.

Red 6 weeks old

We learned from last night and tonight did the photos before feeding Red his dinner. This made things MUCH easier. He was very easy to work with and we had lots of good photos to choose from. This little boy has tons of personality.

Yellow 6 Weeks

Tonight we tried our first 'stacked' photos of the puppies (we will use this term very loosely!!) Yellow has two blue eyes and a very laid back, sweet personality. It was a big night for Yellow, first a bath, then nails, photo shoot, weighed and wormed, then microchiped. Seeing so much needed to be done (and Adrian and I are both sick, we only managed to do the one pup tonight. We'll work on another tomorrow.
Gotta love that line of spots down his front left shoulder and leg. :)

Home alone

Adrian has been sick for about a week now, so today he stayed home. Of course that means he had plenty of hours to spend with the boys, so he took some photos while he allowed them to run free around our house (he felt it was too cold and windy outside for the boys today).

Boy time

The puppies have had an exciting past couple of days. Now that the boys are 6 weeks old (as of tomorrow) they have had several visitors and more are on the way today. Even though they have a nice big fenced in play area, they are wanting to start exploring more and more, so the past two days we have let them play in our backyard for a few minutes before herding them back into their play pen. This is helping them become more confident and they are all turning into explorers. Today I thought this was just too cute, I had come into the house to get a drink and looked out the window to see Romeo playing with one of his boys. By time I got my camera and walked out onto our porch, they had finished playing. Luckily Adrian was out in the shop and saw my struggles, he called to the puppies so they would all run out toward the shop, then they turned around and headed right back to their daddy and started playing again.

Pain in the butt!

Sorry that the blogs have been few and far between, I was out of town getting Jazz bred, and playing catch up ever since!

Adrian captured these two brothers and couldn't resist taking this video for the blog. :)

This weekend we are hoping to do our first 'stacked' photos to post.

"Red" otherwise known as "Ti"

This is "Red" who is one of the two liver boys. This little boy has possibly been named Black Diamond In A Tight Spot. All of the boys will sport registered names that take after the movie "O' Brother Where Art Thou". This decision was made by me (Debbie) seeing this is Romeo's first litter and his name is "Black Diamond's Where Art Thou". Jordan C. (a Dalmatian friend) came to visit the puppies when they were just getting their spots in, she is who decided this particular puppy should sport this name and his call name should be Ti. Jordan was forced to watch the movie with me while sharing a hotel room in Canby, OR at a dog show, she caught right onto the gist of what I was doing and came up with this hard to resist name. :)
